DREHMOMENT die ZWEITE! (mit Gary Beck, Kaiserdisco, Harvey McKay)
Einige Zeit ist nun vergangen seit der letzten „Drehmoment“ im Lahrer Universal D.O.G. Zu Eurer Erinnerung daher nochmals: „Drehmoment“ ist eine Veranstaltung, wo der Hauptaugenmerk auf der Musik, auf dem Eintrittspreis sowie auf der Deko liegt. Wir wollen mit der „Drehmoment“ nicht einfach irgendeine weitere beliebige 0815-Techno-Party veranstalten, nein, wir wollen euch eine super Nacht mit ein paar Highlights präsentieren – das ist es, wofür „Drehmoment“ stehen soll und wird! Bei einer Party geht es um die Musik, um das Tanzen, darum, seine Freunde zu treffen, einfach Spaß zu haben. Kurzum: tolle Momente zu erleben, und dies dann gerne weiter zu erzählen, so dass wir eine tolle Crowd mit unserer neuen Veranstaltungsreihe erleben dürfen.Oft wirkt die eine oder andere Party einfach kalt und ohne Liebe und Herzblut produziert. Das wollen wir nicht! Wir wollen mit „Drehmoment“ wieder eine Nacht voller Emotionen und zufriedener Partypeople etablieren. Das spiegelt sich auch im Line-Up wider – die Musik soll im Vordergrund stehen, Acts die selten bis nie hier in der Region waren, aber international dennoch on topp sind, zu einem sehr günstigen Eintrittspreis, und dies natürlich auf dem Mainfloor, der „Hall“, denn da entstand diese Idee. Doch nun zum abwechslungsreichen und außergewöhnlichen Line-Up:
GARY BECK kann man zweifellos als DEN Techno-Überflieger der vergangenen zwei Jahre bezeichnen. Nach Releases auf Adam Beyer‘s Label Drumcode, auf Cocoon, Saved und seinem eigenen, äußerst erfolgreichen Imprint „Bek Audio“ gipfelte seine Form der Kunst in 2012 mit einem Artist-Album auf dem Überlabel „Soma Recordings“. Internationale Gigs u.a. bei Awakenings, Time Warp, Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Output NYC, usw. waren die Folge. Gary Becks Sound wird eure Synapsen in alle Einzelteile zerlegen und euch in einen anderen Orbit befördern!Seit 2008 führt kein Weg mehr am Hamburger Gespann KAISERDISCO vorbei. KAISERDISCO bringen die Szene mit Veröffentlichungen auf u.a. Drumcode, 100% Pure, Kling Klong, Terminal M, My Best Friend und Ihrem eigenen Label KD Music zum Brodeln und haben sich seitdem zu einer festen Instanz in der Techno- und Techhousewelt entwickelt. Selten kommt der Takt so mächtig daher, wie wenn Kaiserdisco an den Decks steht!

GARY BECK (BEK Audio / Drumcode / Soma / Glasgow – UK)
As a regular fixture at the world’s top clubs and festivals, Glasgow born producer and DJ Gary Beck has long been established as a primary figure in techno. Known and respected for his unique sound, he has gained support from the best names in the business and released music on some of the genre’s leading labels, institutions such as Drumcode, Cocoon and Saved as well as his own BEK Audio imprint. Since his emergence onto the scene in 2007, Beck has accumulated an impressive list of achievements. Highlights include a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and a Boiler Room session, as well as numerous collaborations with similarly exceptional talents such as Green Velvet, Mark Broom and Speedy J.2012 saw the release of his seminal debut album ‚Bring a Friend‘ on the legendary Soma Records label. The last few years have seen Gary Beck’s career trajectory continue to soar, with shows at renowned clubs such as Womb Tokyo, Fabric London, Awakenings, Output NYC, and Time Warp, to name a few. In addition to a packed performance schedule, Beck spends time as head of BEK Audio, an imprint which has quickly become one of the most revered techno labels of the scene.

2013 ushers in a brand new era for Kaiserdisco. This year, Hamburg’s finest production / DJ duo will be taking their own label, KD Music to the next level, developing a brand new ‘Retouch Series’ and releasing their second and highly anticipated artist album. Pushing the envelope of the Kaiserdisco sound even further afield, 2013 looks set to be the best year to date. Frederic Berger and Patrick Buck first got together as Kaiserdisco in 2008 on the back of nearly a decade of operating separately as solo acts. The change paid dividends immediately and the pair have garnered worldwide support ever since. Their versatility when it comes to blending elements of techno, deep house and minimal has made them firm favourites on the global underground scene. Acclaimed releases on labels such as Drumcode, 100% Pure, Kling Klong, Terminal M and My Best Friend, coupled with performances at the world’s most impressive clubs and festivals has given them the well deserved respect amongst the industry. With their own label, KD Music, the boys are getting the chance to release the music they love and on their own terms. Presenting the consummate mix of international and rising talent, the imprint has already seen killer releases from the likes of Danny Serrano and Darlyn Vlys, Hollen, F.Sonik, Kernel Key, Anil Chawla, Fabian Argomedo, Arjun Vagale and of course Kaiserdisco themselves. Having spent much of the last six months locked into intense studio sessions, Kaiserdisco are also now preparing to release their second studio album, ‘Meet Me On The Floor’. The LP format has allowed Patrick and Frederic the scope to present a broad range of their influences, inspirations and passions. Scheduled for release on KD Music on 1st July 2013, the album is set to propel Kaiserdisco even further into the limelight of electronic music.

Described by Mixmag as ‘probably the techno pages most regular contributor’, Harvey McKay has created a distinctive style with a name that is synonymous with driving, soulful techno. He has worked his way into the Drumcode stable with three top ten EPs and has gained support across the globe as one of the hottest techno producers around. As a DJ, Harvey has an exceptional skill to read the crowd and has played at some of the biggest clubs around the world – Space Ibiza, Awakenings, Ultra Music Festival, Fabric, Space Miami and many more, he recently closed the first night of Loveland Weekender and has shows coming up at Intec’s Sonar party, headlining the Elrow Stage at 18hrs Festival and his debut Australian tour. With 3 Beatport Techno No.1’s to date, 9 top 10 releases Harvey was also Beatport techno’s 4th best selling artist of 2014. He has released on all the techno stalwarts Drumcode, Cocoon, Bedrock, Intec and Soma.
